Master’s of Indigenous Land-Based Education
In July of 2023, I joined the Master’s of Indigenous Land-Based Education Cohort (2023-2025) through the University of Saskatchewan.
This is my experience…
Land-Based Camps
Where we spent up to two weeks on the Land in our summer terms discussing the foundations of LBE, Indigenous Cross-Cultural Research Methodologies, and more!
Intensive Study Tours
Where we spent up to ten days in Ugpi’Ganjig (Eel River Bar First Nation), New Brunswick, and O’ahu, Hawai’i, engaging in relationally accountable, experiential Land-Based learning.
Remote Studies
Where we spent our evenings together once a week throughout our fall terms discussing concepts like Educational Foundations and Anti-Racist Education.
Land-Based Art
A glance into my life as a multidisciplinary Two-Spirit artist and crafter.
Inherently Queer
While my art may not always come across as “aesthetically” Queer, my art is imbued with limitless Love and Queerness.

Reclaiming Ancestral Skills and Incorporating Contemporary Crafts
Working with hide, glass seed beads, natural wolf willow seeds, caribou tufting, and fish skin tanning — these are some of my favourite things! I also enjoy sewing, painting, and dabbling in digital art…
“I oftentimes get caught up feeling like the lost queer Youth needing support or wanting to be that support for my younger self and others — I’m realizing the pressure to transition from one role to the other is a binary. This is my journey to embracing my Story and using it to guide my Land-Based work.”
